Joybearers Care Organisation

For over two decades, Joybearers Centre has been a beacon of hope and compassion in our community. Registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission exactly 24 years ago, we established the JoyBearers Care Organization as the caring arm of our mission, dedicated to supporting widows and the fatherless in society.

From the very beginning, our work opened our eyes to the immense challenges faced by widows and the fatherless. Many of these individuals live without the basic necessities of life—struggling for food, shelter, and a sense of security. Our journey has been one of sacrifice and dedication, driven by a deep commitment to making a difference.

As our outreach grew, we recognized the need for a platform where these women could come together, share their experiences, and find strength in unity. In 2003, we launched the Annual Widows Conference, a gathering that has since become a vital part of our mission. Held every year during the first week of September, this conference brings together widows from across many states of Nigeria.

The Annual Widows Conference is a transformative experience, providing not only a space for shared stories but also amplifying the voices of widows within our society. We are proud to offer this conference completely free of charge, covering all costs related to feeding, accommodation, and transportation for participants. It is our belief that no widow should be left behind due to financial constraints.
